So this is me, Hannah a floral designer who loves whimsical flowers (hence the name Whimsy’s)
I have over 13 years experience in floristry, not only in shops and freelance for weddings and in the film world to, in the art department, production design and the greens team, I was also the designer for the Chichester Cathedral Festival of Flowers 2024!
Flowers are an obsession of mine, I can’t even go out for walks without pointing out a wild flower, I’m also slightly obsessed with biscuits, tea and cake!
I’m a long time swiftie but you will often find me listening to movie music from Hans Zimmer to John Williams, films hold a special place in my heart ranging from musicals like the Phantom of the opera to Harry Potter, LOTR, Star wars, The parent trap and anything Disney!!
I use only the most magical flowers and foliage, I also grow a small selection of my own cut flowers whilst trying to use as many British flowers as I can, as well as the most beautiful imported flowers too.
Whimsy’s (previously Tawny Flower Studio) was born in lockdown 2020 after my parents needing help at their plant nursery, where I started delivering hugs in a jar, small home grown flowers in jam jars with kind messages attached
Weddings quickly evolved to become the core of my business which are now my speciality and passion! I love creating floral designs for couples celebrating their unique love stories. It's an honour to contribute to their special day, and I cherish the opportunity to add the Whimsy’s touch to each wedding.
It is my aim to take the approach to be as environmentally friendly as possible by hiring bud vases, urns and vessels etc, using recyclable or reusable mechanics like chicken wire also using little to no floral foam in any of my installations and wedding work, keeping it as natural and single use plastic free as possible.
I also recycle any leftover wedding flowers by sending them to the London Confetti Club charity for them to make into confetti and then any stems leftover are given back to the ground and composted!
Managing a team of 160 arrangers using thousands of flowers for over 60 installations in the Chichester Cathedral creating the immersive flower festival that took place in June 2024 with over 10,000 visitors enjoying the festival!
Featured in many press releases including ITV news, The Chichester Observer, The telegraph, The flower Arranger magazine, Flora magazine, blogs And so much more!
